YOG’s First After-Dinner Opera! On Friday evening, November 14th, the Youngstown Opera Guild's presentation of Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata in the Ballroom of Stambaugh Auditorium was a wonderful success! The gala evening began at 6:30 pm with complimentary champagne and a cash bar. Dinner was prepared and served by Davis Armstrong’s Cater-2-U at 7:00 pm. The opera, presented in a fully staged and costumed production with chamber orchestra, began at 8:00 pm. Verdi’s popular tune filled opera starred Misook Yun as the tragic Violetta, Dr. Frank Cano as her lover, Alfredo, and Dr. Allan Mosher as his father, Germont. The orchestra was conducted by Randy Fusco with staging by David Vosburgh and costumes by Barbara Luce. Below are some pictures of Stambaugh Auditorium's Ballroom before the event, and several of the performers during the show.
